Introducing, Kate Sharma! On April 30, Bridgerton's new love interest was spotted for the first time as the Netflix show gears up for season two. Kate, played by Sex Education's Simone Ashley, joins Sir Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, in the stands at the races. It appears the game of love isn't the only thing afoot for these characters.
These on-set photos come shortly after Regé-Jean Page announced he will not be returning to the Shondaland series for season two. Bridgerton's next installment will shift focus from Daphne and Simon to Kate and Anthony's romance, based on Julia Quinn's novel The Viscount Who Loved Me. We'll certainly miss the Duke of Hastings, but these behind-the-scenes pictures put us in the mood to read more of Lady Whisteldown's musings. Season two can't come soon enough!
