Supermodel, actress, activist, and new mom Naomi Campbell is known for a number of impressive things, but thanks to her recent interview with Architectural Digest, it's apparent that her gorgeous home and taste in decor also deserve recognition. The model gave viewers a peek into her beachfront villa in Malindi, Kenya, revealing details in her home that capture her love for all things beautiful and handmade. "Most of the furniture is workmanship that's been done here in Kenya, so we keep it local," Naomi told AD.
Located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, the mansion features not one but four swimming pools - one of which is in the living room. Positioned just a couple feet away from a chic white couch, the coldest pool in the house is the perfect spot for visitors to take a dip when the temperature rises. Naomi's luxurious and airy villa also has countless places that are ideal for unwinding, making her home a place of tranquility and peace.
"We want you to feel where you are. I wouldn't want to have a place that takes away from the feeling."
The model's home also has a personalized villa for guests to stay in with four rooms. In each room, she has special pieces that are crafted in Kenya to reflect the culture of the country. "We want you to feel where you are. I wouldn't want to have a place that takes away from the feeling," Naomi said. She pulls this off and then some, as the seaside retreat is the ideal spot for entertaining with a large buffet table in the breakfast area as well as one in the lunch space (in addition to the dining rooms). There's also a gorgeous spa on the property that features two bathtubs that are used for beauty treatments, like hydrotherapy and mud baths, which Naomi recommends all her friends and guests try on the first night of their visit so they can feel refreshed.
The new mom's love for Kenya can be seen in her decor choices all around the house as most of the furniture and accents are made there, including her headboard and bedroom door. "Kenya is just like a natural gem," Naomi told AD. "It has the safari, it has the bush, it has the coast, it has the dunes. It has all the elements." With a view of the Indian Ocean and the surrounding coastline, it's easy to see why this home has become a place for the supermodel to unwind and reset. Keep reading to see more of Naomi's striking villa, and take in each and every tropical and tranquil space her home has to offer.
